Who we are

TMDirect is an Interim Management network serving  Corporations,  Small and Medium Enterprises, and Private Equities.  The name “ TMDdirect”  derives from our direct relationship with our customers. This makes our intervention more incisive and, eliminates the added costs of the interim provider as our managers invoice directly to the customer.

We are all seasoned professionals with specializations in  General Management, Sales and Marketing, Finance and Control, Project Management, Purchasing, and Supply Chain, and we work in a wide range of industrial sectors.

We are more than the sum of individual skills, working as a team with our customers we can resolve complex challenges.

 

The Context

Small and medium-sized enterprises employ 82% of workers in Italy and account for 92% of active companies. These numbers make SMEs a salient feature of the Italian economy and often have very different characteristics from corporate companies.

An excellent corporate manager does not necessarily have the soft skills to be effective in a typical SME with an agile business structure and strong family participation in decision-making.

When an "Interim Management" project is effective, balanced, and respectful of the culture of SMEs, it can bring important, rapid, and sustainable results, even in difficult times.

We have gained our technical competence and “soft skills” through over 30 years of experience in SMEs, in Italy, and abroad and, we have demonstrated this with many successful business cases.

 

How we work

Our approach is simple and focused,

  1. We quickly assess the issues and the current business situation with the stakeholders and then discuss the desired goals and the timeframe.

  2. We analyze the reasons for the current situation, agree “doable” objectives, and prepare a transformation plan.

  3. The change begins when our Interim Manager takes responsibility for the plan, manages the company's resources, and regularly collaborates with the customers' management team until the agreed results are achieved.

Our contracts are flexible and the customer may decide to extend a mission or close a mission that is ahead of planning. In these cases, the customer can decrease or increase the number of billed days or even terminate the mission.
